NO CIGARETTES / NO MATCHES or JASON RICCI ROCKS!

Tonight I found this cryptic message in my inbox:

"After almost 5 years... Here is your much sought after song: Toronto Tontos by
Max Webster.

Courtesy of my co-worker Jason Ricci (who demanded to be credited)."

Never fear, the sender can be vouched for; but oh how sweet that message was. It was motivated by my near Tourette's like delivery of, "Dun, dun, dun, duh, dun, dun, dun, duh, DUN, DUN! No cigarettes, no matches!", in the middle of an otherwise normal verbal exchange; much to the amusement (albeit tinged with concern) of my companions.

I have, indeed, been sporadically tormented by that extraordinarily peculiar snatch of lyric ever since that frigid winter's night back in 1999 when myself and an equally startled friend accidentally flicked on her car radio at full blast. We were shocked, no, confused. It made no sense. It was hilarious. We couldn't stop giggling inspite of the disappointment of the dj's failure to 'name that tune'. So finally here it is; the song, "Toronto Tontos" by "Max Webster
